Final Friday Experience in Downtown Ludington
The Final Friday Experience will not take place in 2022. Stay tuned for information on the 2023 events.
In the past, there have been partial street closures south of Ludington Avenue, allowing people to fill the streets and watch a variety of live music on five different stages during the Final Friday Experience. The event have been held in the parameters of the newly created social district which allowed patrons to be outdoors with alcoholic beverages purchased from participating businesses including Jamesport Brewing Company, Luciano’s Ristorante, Sportsman’s Restaurant & Bar, and Ludington Bay Brewing Company. HumaniTea also had their “Zero-Proof Booth” open on Loomis Street with non-alcoholic drinks available.
Besides live music, the events have included activity booths, Baby Badger rides, pony rides, shopping, and more. The Farmers Market in Legacy Plaza (formerly James Street Plaza) was also open during Final Friday Experience.
Just because the Final Friday Experience has been canceled for 2022, there’s still so much to do on a Friday evening in Ludington. Take a walk out to the Big Sable Point Lighthouse after you grab a delicious ice cream cone at Sunset Side Concessions or House of Flavors. Watch the S.S. Badger Carferry come into port from Stearns Park or Waterfront Park. Play a round of mini-golf at the Ludington Area Jaycees course in Stearns Park. Or enjoy some great cuisine at one of Ludington’s great restaurants and catch some live music outdoors or at one of the local pubs.
