Lakeview Campsite is located just 10 miles north of Ludington, Michigan. The campground is in a peaceful setting among shade trees and overlooking Upper Hamlin Lake. Its location is perfect — with the Manistee National Forest and the Ludington State Park just minutes away.

Families enjoy Lakeview Campsite for the activities available for all ages. Swim in the pool, rent a canoe, kayak, or rowboat, and enjoy games such as basketball, volleyball, tetherball and horseshoes. Go fishing on Hamlin Lake, then take your catch to their fish freezer. Kids enjoy the playgrounds, and the entire family can take a leisurely walk or bike ride around the campground.Lakevi
While camping at Lakeview Campsite you can take walks or bicycle around the campground, enjoy the picnic areas, swim in the pool, go fishing or sit by Hamlin Lake and watch the sunset. The children will enjoy the swimming pool and several different playground areas as well as the fishing dock.
At Lakeview Campsite you also have access to the 5,000 plus acres of Hamlin Lake, where you can fish for Muskie, Northern Pike, Walleye, Large and Small Mouth Bass, Bluegill, Perch and other varieties of pan fish. You can also go to the Pere Marquette River or Lake Michigan and fish for Trout, Coho or Chinook Salmon.
For those of you that enjoy hiking and biking there are trails located at the Manistee National Recreation Area and the Ludington State Park. Both areas also have Lake Michigan sugar sand beaches and the Nordhouse Sand Dunes. The Ludington State Park also has a Hamlin Lake beach area.
Activities
The abundance of trees guarantees a cool, shady place to set up your tent or park your trailer. All sites have fire rings and picnic tables, and you can choose from a rustic site, a campsite with electric, or a site with electric and water. Download a map of the campground sites to see details.

All prices are for 2 adults and 3 children or 3 adults. Additional daily charges will apply for additional people and for units longer than 34 feet.

FROM THE EAST: Take US-10 to Stiles Rd (approx 2 miles west of Scottville). Go north on Stiles Rd approx 6 miles to Fountain Rd. Go west (turn left) on Fountain Rd approx 3 miles to Peterson Rd and turn right (north), go 1 mile to Lakeview Campsite.
FROM THE NORTH: Take US-31 south to Fountain Rd. Go west (turn right) approx 5 miles to Peterson Rd. Turn north (right) and go1 mile to Lakeview Campsite.
FROM THE SOUTH: Take US-31 north to US-10. Go west on US-10 to Jebavy Dr and turn north (right). Go north on Jebavy Dr approx 5 miles to Angling Rd. Turn right on Angling Rd and go approx 3 miles to Peterson Rd. Turn north (left) onto Peterson Rd, go 1 mile to Lakeview Campsite. (Angling Rd turns into Fountain Rd. So stay on the blacktop at the end of Angling Rd and follow the curve all the way around to the right. Peterson Rd is just a short distance after the curve.)
FROM THE WEST: If you are coming to Ludington from across Lake Michigan on the S.S. Badger carferry, head east on Ludington Avenue to Jebavy Drive. Take Jebavy Drive north to Angling Road, which turns into Fountain Road. Turn left (north) on Peterson Rd and go 1 mile to Lakeview Campsite.

Owner/Management reserves the right to remove anyone from the campground for behavior and/or actions that are detrimental to the campground/campers with no refund. Anyone on campground property is here solely at their own risk. Owner/Management is not responsible for injury to persons, pets or damage to or theft of personal property.
Alcohol must stay on your own campsite (do not carry it around the campground) and should never cause problems for neighboring campers! Problems caused by alcohol will result in the use of Alcohol being prohibited and/or persons involved being removed from the campground without a refund.
Do not transport firewood into the campground from any state, county or local area, which includes any firewood being sold locally, due to the Emerald Ash Borer, Pine-tree killing Sirex woodwasp and the Beech Tree Disease.
The Michigan Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources are working together to try and stop the spread of this insect and the destruction of Michigan’s Ash trees. You are allowed to bring pallet wood or processed wood only.
