Special Lantern-Lit Event
Walk at the Ludington State Park (8800 M-116, Ludington) using the trail along the south side of the Big Sable River on the open southern portion of the park. The route will be marked with lit lanterns and there will be a bonfire at the amphitheater. Parking will be in the lot at the end of the Amphitheater road adjacent to the Skyline Trail.

Denim & Diamonds Daddy/Daughter Dance
Event includes dinner, photos, dancing, and a glow party. Tickets are $25/each. Radiant Church- 409 S. Washington Ave., Ludington.

Michigan’s Free Snowmobiling Weekend
Michigan offers the opportunity to snowmobilers to operate their machines without a snowmobile permit or trail pass. 

Gettin’ Jiggy Ice Fishing Tournament
Sponsored by PM Expeditions. Entry fee is $10 and there is a 100% payout for the longest fish in each category: Bluegill, Crappie, and Perch. You must be in line for measuring by 6pm. Call (231) 845-7285 for more information.

FiveCAP’s Walk for Warmth
Groups, individuals, and businesses are encouraged to form walking teams for the 2-mile walk and gather pledges to benefit FiveCAP’s program to subsidize heat for families and seniors in need. Contribution and pledge sheets are available at fivecap.org. Registration is at 9:30am with the walk taking place between 10am-12pm. The walk starts at the Community Church- 109 N. Harrison St., Ludington.

Guided Snowshoe Walk
Hike is free and a limited amount of snowshoes are available to use. Walks begin and end at the Ludington State Park Warming Shelter- 8800 M-116, Ludington.

Lantern Lit Snowshoeing, Cross-Country Skiing, or Hiking
The walk begins at the Ludington State Park Warming Shelter (8800 M-116, Ludington) and has approximately 1 mile of lighted trails. There are bonfires at both the Warming Shelter and the Amphitheater, along with free warm beverages at the Amphitheater. No registration is required.

Great Start Collaborative Winter Book Walk
Families are invited to walk, snowshoe, or ski the lantern lit path at the Ludington State Park. The first 100 families will receive a signed copy of the book “Star in the Jar” by Sam Hay and Sarah Massini. There will be a bonfire and free warm beverages at the amphitheater.

Michigan Free Fishing Weekend
All Michigan fishing licenses will be waived during this weekend, but fishing regulations still apply.

Ludington Area Catholic School Lenten Fish Frys
Cost is $15 for adult meals with choice of fried perch, fried shrimp, or combo of perch/shrimp (served with french fries or baked potato, cole slaw, apple sauce and homemade dessert). Kids meals are $9 with choice of perch, shrimp, combo perch/shrimp, with Mac & Cheese or fries; all with the same sides. Dine in or take-out available. Ludington Area Catholic School- 700 Bryant Rd., Ludington.
