Ludington Celebrates Its Sesquicentennial in 2023!

The beautiful laketown of Ludington, Michigan, will hold its 150th birthday party in 2023 at its Sesquicentennial Celebration! Many events and activities are being incorporated into the event throughout the year. 

Here are the upcoming events for the celebration:

#RunLudington Sesquicentennial 150-Mile Challenge

Virtual from Monday, April 10th-Sunday, December 31st, 2023

  • Registration includes a custom finisher medal mailed to you. Add a short sleeve ($15) or long sleeve ($25) performance tee to celebrate your miles and Ludington’s Sesquicentennial. Challenge: log 150 miles (walking or running) by the end of the year. For more of a challenge, log your 150 miles in 150 days. Cost is $25 per person. To register, visit runreg.com

Sesquicentennial Ball

Saturday, October 7th, 2023

  • 6-10pm – Tickets are $75 per person or $150 per couple and include dinner, live music, dancing, historical plays, and more. Proceeds benefit the preservation of Mason County History for future generations to enjoy. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the decades. Tickets are available at eventbrite.com or at the Mason County Emporium- 130 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington. The ball will be held at Stearns Hotel- 212 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington.
