Copeyon Park: A Park Near the Port

Named for Peter Copeyon, longtime Ludington city commissioner, Copeyon Park gives you another vantage point of the Port of Ludington. It’s situated on the east side of Pere Marquette Lake, and offers a playground, launching site, great fishing, and restroom facilities which are open May-October, weather permitting.

Directions to Copeyon Park

Head west on US-10/Ludington Avenue, and at the following stoplight after the hospital, turn south (left) on Washington Avenue at the light. Continue through the blinker light, cross the bridge, and the entrance will be on your right, just after 2nd street on your left.

The park also has a pavilion, which offers a covered area for gathering, and there are numerous picnic tables available for use. The location of Copeyon Park is in close proximity to the Charter Boat area, so after a day on the lake, enjoy a picnic just down the road.

A unique feature of the park is the splash pad that was recently added on the south side of the park, where families can enjoy cooling off with fun water features in the summer months.

The covered seating area can be utilized without a permit, on a first come, first serve basis.

Celebrate at Copeyon Park!

Copeyon Park can be a great place to celebrate- be it a birthday party, wedding, family reunion, or some other occasion, the covered seating area can be utilized without a permit, on a first come, first serve basis.
