Miss Ludington Area Scholarship Program

The 2022 Miss Ludington Area Scholarship Program was held on Sunday, September 11th at 4pm at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts- 107 S. Harrison St., Ludington. Awards included five different scholarships totaling $3,000 to be used toward the contestants education. In 2022, Arianna Smith was crowned Ms. Ludington Area which earned her a $1,000 scholarship and a sash, crown, and flowers. She also won the award for best talent and an additional $1,000 scholarship. Athena Dila was the runner up and also won the Community Service Award, which came with a $500 scholarship, and Miss Congeniality. The People’s Choice Award went to Andrea Shoop.

Little Miss & Junior Miss Program

In 2022, the event included a Little Miss Ludington Area Program for girls ages 3-9 and a Junior Miss Ludington Area Program for those ages 9-12 as a fundraiser for the Miss Ludington Area Scholarship Program. Participants got to be on stage and were able to showcase a talent if they chose to do so. The winners were chosen by random drawing. Henley Smith, the cousin of Ms. Ludington Area 2022, Ariana Smith, was crowned Little Miss Ludington Area and Layla Chansler was awarded Junior Miss Ludington Area.

About the Miss Ludington Area Scholarship Program

The event is open to women between the ages of 18-26 from Mason, Manistee, Oceana and Lake counties. Contestants are judged based on-talent, evening wear, on-stage interview, and their social impact initiative pitch. The winner is qualified to enter the Miss Michigan Pageant, a precursor to the Miss America Pageant.
