Love Ludington Weekend is a special time to celebrate everything that makes Ludington such a unique and vibrant place. From its charming downtown and artistic spirit to its strong sense of community and lakeshore beauty, there’s so much to love—and you’re invited to be part of it all. Enjoy a weekend full of festivities, including a lively street party, an inspiring art walk, the traditional boat blessing, a classic car show, and plenty of family-friendly fun for everyone.

Here's what happened in 2025:

Thursday

  • 7:30-10pm – On Deck: A Night Aboard the SS Badger
    This event kicks off the weekend with food and live music among the historic charm of the docked SS Badger Carferry. Proceeds benefit the Lakeshore Children’s Advocacy Center.  Lake Michigan Carferry dock- 701 Maritime Dr. 

Friday

  • 2-6pm – Farmer’s Market
    The market featuring fresh products from local vendors. Legacy Plaza- 112 N. James St.
  • 6-9pm – Love Ludington Street Party
    Part of the downtown district will close for a huge street party featuring live music by the American Ages Band, kids’ activities, bounce houses, food trucks, and more. There will also be a vintage car show along Ludington Avenue between Robert and William Streets.

Saturday

  • 12-2pm – Ludington Bed & Breakfast Tours
    Ludington Bed & Breakfast Association’s member inns will open their doors for public tours. Start at Cartier Mansion (409 E. Ludington Ave.) and then head east along the avenue to visit The Ludington House, Candlelite Inn, and The Lamplighter Bed & Breakfast. A suggested donation of $20 can be made at the first stop, with all proceeds benefiting a local charity.
  • 12-4pm – Art Crawl
    Explore the creative spirit of Ludington on this self-guided walking tour through nine downtown art galleries and markets, plus several local restaurants and cafes featuring talented artists and musicians. Enjoy a coffee, beer, or ice cream as you experience the vibrant work of community artists.
  • 5-10pm – Blessing of the Boats

    Join the annual boat blessing party at 950 W. Ludington Ave., featuring live music, food trucks, drinks, and raffles. Featured performers are Electric Flower, Tom Zatarga, and Defiance County. VIP tickets with perks are available for purchase in advance. For more information, visit facebook.com

Sunday

  • 1pm – Beach Clean-Up
    Hosted by the Sable Point Lighthouse Keepers Association (SPLKA) and A Few Friends for the Environment of the World (AFFEW). Volunteers will receive two passes to the Ludington North Breakwater Light. Meet at the end of W. Ludington Avenue.
