Bring the family to Ludington’s Small Business Saturday, Aglow on the Avenue Parade, and more as a great way to kick off the holiday season and welcome Santa to town!

The day kicks off with Small Business Saturday with numerous downtown businesses participating. Enjoy extended hours, special deals, and promotions throughout the day. See below for a list of retailers participating and their special offers.

In addition to Small Business Saturday, the annual Aglow on the Avenue Parade beginning at 6pm includes a dazzling display of illuminated floats and entries traveling down Ludington Avenue from Gaylord Avenue to Harrison Street. Here's what happened in 2025:

  • Vote for your favorite window in the Window Decorating Contest and be entered into a drawing for Downtown Ludington Dollars
  • Santa’s Mailbox officially opens in Legacy Park- 110 N. James St.
  • 10am – Voting begins for the Holiday Window Decorating Contest. 
  • 10am-5pm – Open House at The Red Door Gallery– 416 S. James St. Enjoy seasonal refreshments, homemade cookies, complimentary gift wrapping, and 10% off storewide at the gallery.
  • 10am-7pm – Shop Small Business Saturday in downtown Ludington
  • 10am-7pm – Needlefast Evergreens Pop-Up Tree Lot
  • 11am-2pm – Art of Giving Artist Market at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts- 107 S. Harrison St.
  • 2pm – Stage Left Theatre Company presents Ken Ludwig’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. 
  • 2-4pm – An Afternoon with Santa at The Mitten Bar- 109 W. Ludington Ave.
  • 3:30-5:10pmCarriage Rides with a Cause at West Shore Bank- 201 W. Ludington Ave. Contribute two non-perishable food items per person to enjoy a 20-minute horse-drawn carriage ride.
  • 6pm – Aglow on the Avenue Holiday Parade, Ludington Avenue from Gaylord to Harrison Streets
  • 6:45pm – Performances by the Ludington High School Band & Choir
