Bring the family to Ludington’s Small Business Saturday, Aglow on the Avenue Parade, and more as a great way to kick off the holiday season and welcome Santa to town!

The day kicks off with Small Business Saturday with numerous downtown businesses participating. Enjoy extended hours, special deals, and promotions throughout the day. See below for a list of retailers participating and their special offers.

In addition to Small Business Saturday, the annual Aglow on the Avenue Parade beginning at 6pm includes a dazzling display of illuminated floats and entries traveling down Ludington Avenue from Gaylord Avenue to Harrison Street. Here's what happened in 2024:

  • Santa’s Mailbox officially opens in Legacy Park- 110 N. James St.
  • Throughout the Day – Needlefast Evergreens Pop-Up Tree Lot
  • 10am-2pm – Christmas Card Making Workshop at The Pier- 222 W. Ludington Ave.
  • 10am-5pm – Open House at The Red Door Gallery- 416 S. James St. Enjoy seasonal refreshments, homemade cookies, complimentary gift wrapping, and 10% off storewide at the gallery.
  • 10am-7pm – Shop Small Business Saturday in downtown Ludington
  • 11am-2pm – Art of Giving Artist Market at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts- 107 S. Harrison St.
  • 3-5pm – Visit with Santa at Red Rooster Coffee & Community- 207 S. James St.
  • 3:30-5:10pm – Carriage Rides with a Cause at West Shore Bank- 201 W. Ludington Ave. Contribute two non-perishable food items per person to enjoy a 20-minute horse-drawn carriage ride.
  • 4-7pm – Vendor Show in Legacy Plaza
  • 6pm – Aglow on the Avenue Holiday Parade, Ludington Avenue from Gaylord to Harrison Streets
  • 6:45pm – Performances by the Ludington High School Band & Choir

Here's a list of retailers that offered specials in 2024:

  • Aardema Wood Floors – Open 9am-7pm. Guests can enter a monthly drawing for a chance to win $250 off a flooring project. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be provided.
  • Avenue’s End Mini Mall Open Saturday from 10am-7pm & Sunday from 11am-4pm. Enter for a chance to win one of two gift certificates valued at $50 and $25—no purchase required. Snacks will be available.
  • Cluck Bucket Coffee Coop opens at 8am, with the restaurant serving until 7pm. Enjoy a special hot cocoa bar from 5-7pm, plus warm pretzels! There will also be an outdoor setup perfect for photo opps.
  • HarborFit Studio – Get information on group fitness classes, massages by Becka’s Bodyworks ($30 for 15 minutes), doTerra Women’s Health Products, and an on-site visit from Squires Chiropractic.
  • Sexy Nomad – Open from 10am-6pm, the store will offer tarot card readings.
  • Todd & Brad Reed Photography – There will be a special book debut from 2-5pm featuring Debbie Nellis and Julia Reed. Debbie has authored a delightful children’s book about House of Flavors, beautifully illustrated by Julia with her stunning paintings. Copies will be available for purchase on-site—no pre-orders.
